What is the most effective way to backup your MUD?
I finally installed an OLC program in my mud. So, in order to make sure I didn't lose my stuff, I just made a copy of the entire Rom24 folder and called it a backup. Then I tried to add colour and everything was messed up. So I deleted the Rom24 folder, renamed the backup to Rom24, tried to the run the MUD, and it wouldn't connect. ./startup would work the same as always, but the mushclient wouldn't connect to the MUD. So what is the best way to backup the MUD before making changes?

Use tar the entire directory. Then download the tar to your local computer.
